Marc Anthony Does It Again
Singer Marc Anthony and wife Dayanara Torres renewed their vows Saturday after five-months of separation at San Juan Cathedral.
Originally, the Latin singing sensation and the former Miss Universe flew to Las Vegas after the Blockbuster Awards in May of 2000 where they were wed before a small group of family and friends. The couple have a 21-month old son, Christian, and Anthony has a young daughter, Arianna, from a previous relationship. Five months ago it was announced that the couple would be separating. No reason was given as cause for the split and divorce proceedings were never started.
When the couple split initially, there were rumors of Anthony’s wandering eye being the cause. At the time, there was plenty of talk about a possible hook-up with the then-newly-single Jennifer Lopez. The two were in talks of possibly starring in a movie together and had already collaborated on a song for J. Lo’s album "On the 6." Anyone who has been awake for the past few months knows that J. Lo is off the market, so those rumors proved to be unfounded.
After the couple’s five month split, it was announced that they had tied the knot for the second time – in a more traditional way. Torres stated to the Primera Hora, the island’s newspaper, "The first time we had a wedding it was very fast. We didn’t have much time to plan anything, and my family wasn’t there. This is so my family has a chance to see me in a wedding dress and a church." Hopefully they can make it work the second time around.
