Paris Hilton’s Sorry

Elliot Mintz said, "She regrets what happened. She did not take this matter lightly or frivolously. She had never been arrested before and it was clearly humiliating and disorienting." Hilton was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of drinking and driving. Later that morning she called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and said that her arrest "was nothing" and that she was "speeding a little bit" to an In-N-Out Burger. Mintz said, who said Hilton is a huge fast food fan, said; "Paris regrets getting behind the wheel with even one drink."

Hilton was arrested at approximately 12:30 a.m on Thursday after she was spotted "driving erratically" by the police. Hilton took a Breathalyzer test which showed her blood alcohol level to be 0.08 which is the California minimum for a DUI arrest. Mintz confirmed the arrest Thursday, but claimed that Hilton had worked all day without eating and had had one drink at a charity event. He claimed Hilton’s "symptoms" were "probbaly the result of an empty stomach and working all day and being fatigued."

Rod Stewart’s daughter Kimberly was riding shotgun when Hilton was arrested. The car was reportedly impounded because Hilton had been drinking and Stewart appeared to be under the influence as well. Mintz, Hilton’s sister Nicky, and Nicky’s boyfriend Kevin Connelly came to the station to pick up Hilton and Stewart. It has not been announced yet whether or not the LAPD will charge Hilton with the misdemeanor DUI and so far no court date has been set.
