The Creators Of Antik Denim

This rapidly expanding line of top-of-the line denim was created by one of the fashion industry’s dream teams. In 2004, denim maestro Paul Guez, and fashion designers Alexandre Caugant and Philippe Naouri came together to form Blue Holdings Incorporated, of which Antik Denim is a subsidiary.

Paul Guez, Chief Executive Officer and one of the founders of Blue Holdings Inc has over thirty years experience in the jeans and fashion industry. He was the creator and president of Sasson Jeans. His name is associated with many top names in denim, such as Tarrant Apparel Group founded by his father, and Taverniti So Jeans.

Alexandre Caugant is best known as the designer of Goa, a top quality designer line popular with celebrities. Caugant and Gerard Medina founded the Goa line in 2002. It is no surprise that Alexandre and Philippe have teamed up again; the two previously designed for Levi. Caugant says TV, music and people inspire him.

The third designer and co-founder of Blue Holdings Inc is fellow French man, Philippe Naouri. Naouri and Caugant have been lifelong friends from their days in France. Philippe with over twenty years experience in the world of denim is one of the most sought after designers. His trademark style has graced other brands such as Levi and Diesel. He is popularly referred to as the "King of Vintage" because of his exhaustive knowledge about vintage denim. Naori vision is to one day open a museum of jeans.

The trio has hit pay dirt with Antik Denim; the Company began making a profit within the second quarter of being established. The brand is now so popular that it has spawned knock-offs. The Company had to file suit in 2005 to stop other jeans manufacturers from using their copyrighted hand-embroidered back pocket designs.
