Ashley’s Older Beau

The Olsen twins began classes at New York University this week and from all reports they are having no trouble fitting in to the New York lifestyle or meeting new people. Sources say that Ashley, 18, has taken up with "man-about-town" Scott Sartiano, 30. The two have been spotted looking more than friendly in the Hamptons last week, where Ashley and Mary-Kate went to shop and check out the nightlife. Of course, a rep for the sisters has insisted that Ashley and Sartiano are just friends and nothing more.

Sartiano is the co-owner of the hot restaurant Butter and is also a promoter at Star Room in East Hampton. One source said of Ashley and Sartiano, "They met about a month ago. They have been out everywhere together and went to [promoter] Ashley Margoli’s birthday party together at Cabana." Reportedly, Ashley’s sis Mary-Kate has been cozying up to Sartiano’s friend, Ollie, and the four of them have been hanging out often. A rep for the Olsen’s said, "They are all friends. They are not dating and Mary-Kate is still with David." Not so much says a source that claims that Mary-Kate and her boyfriend David Katzenberg amicably called it quits last week before starting school.

A source said of the girls, "Ashley and Mary-Kate don’t drink, so when they go out with Scott and Ollie it’s really weird – they just sit at the table and don’t really talk or do anything." The source went on to say that the twins have been hitting the clubs every night, but never really look like they are having any fun. The Olsen’s were introduced to Sartiano by their television Uncle Jesse. Sartiano said of the sisters, "I met them through John Stamos, who told me to take care of them when they were in New York." Hmm, who wants to bet that isn’t what John had in mind?
