Women's Online Sports Center Goes Live
New online women's sports center launches with information on women's sports.

Women In Sports Careers Foundation (WISC)
launches Online Career Center

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA. With the budding interest of women's sports and the
growing need to retain women in sports related careers, the Women In Sports
Careers Foundation's (WISC) has launched its Online Career Center. The
Web site comes at a perfect time. Although women's sports participation is at
an all-time high, many sports organizations are scrambling to find female
applicants to fill their positions.
The Web site aims to harness the power of women's sports while playing the
lead role in supporting & promoting women in sports related careers. With
underwriting support from Franklin Covey and a multitude of sponsors on
board, the site is expected to become an immediate success.
The cutting edge site will feature job listings in partnership with
Women'Sports Services (Women'Sports Job Wire), and Franklin Covey (Sports
Careers). Other features of the site include, career profiles, resume bank,
chat rooms, career forums, sports directory, events database, Women'Sports
Wire, athletes corner, and professional development workshops and seminars.
"We are very excited at the launch of this site," said Becky Heidesch,
co-founder of the WISC Foundation. "Our mission is to provide women in
sports careers the tools to be successful. We have been focused on this
issue for some time. With the additional support we now have behind us, we
believe we have the greatest platform possible for addressing these needs now
and in the future. We are thrilled to empower women to follow their career
dreams, and we look forward to championing this cause in the marketplace."
