Heather Locklear & David Spade Split

A source close to the couple has reported that Locklear and Spade made a mutual decision to "take a break from their relationship." Said the source, "Heather is still going through a lot with Denise [Richards] and [estranged husband] Richie [Sambora]. It’s just too soon for her to get serious. They are still friends. It’s not ugly." The two have been spending a lot of time together looking way more than friendly since Locklear’s split from Sambora.

The unlikely romantic partners have always claimed that they are only friends, despite the fact they have been spotted holding hands and making out like teenagers. A friend of Locklear’s reportedly said recently, "They are friends. They’ve always been friends. And they continue to be friends. There’s nothing more to it than that." Locklear and Spade allegedly first hooked-up about a month after she filed for divorce from Sambora. The two were reportedly seen kissing at an afterparty for Spade’s Showbiz Show.

After Locklear called it quits with Sambora after she found sexually suggestive emails from his former assistant. Shortly after that she began hanging out a lot with Spade. He was there to lend a shoulder on and also spoke up for Locklear after she learned that Sambora was dating her ex-best friend, Richards. In May, a source close to Locklear reiterated that the two were not dating, but did say that Spade had provided "comfort" and "laughter" during the tough times Locklear was going through. Wonder what will happen next now that the uncouple has uncoupled?!
