NCAA: College football predictions -- Week 3

Here are my predictions for week three in NCAA College football. See if you agree or disagree. Make your own predictions. If your right, you will look like a genius.
Last week, I picked nine out of ten winners straight up. Not bad for a rookie. Week three promises to be just as exciting as last week as there are some good matchups. Enjoy the games and make your own predictions. It's fun to do.

1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (0-0) vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-0) Do the Irish have a prayer? Irish QB Matt LoVecchio must pass the ball downfield. Cornhuskers' QB Eric Crouch can scramble and make the big plays. Nebraska 30-20 over Notre Dame at Nebraska.

2. Tennessee Volunteers (1-0) vs. Arkansas Razorbacks (1-0) Speed on their defense will shut down the Razorbacks. Arkansas running back Cedric Cobbs needs a big game for Razorbacks to win. Tennessee 30-21 over Arkansas at Arkansas

3. Michigan Wolverines (1-0) vs. Washington Huskies (0-0) Michigan's QB John Navarre is big and strong, with a good arm. Huskies have a strong offensive line that can out muscle defenses. Washington 37-24 over Michigan at Washington

4. South Carolina Gamecocks (1-0) vs. Georgia Bulldogs (1-0) Lou Holtz's balanced offense will keep defenses off balance. Bulldog's wide receiver Terrence Edwards can break games open. Cornerback Tim Wansley is a big man on defense for Dog's. South Carolina 24-23 over Georgia at Georgia.

5. Fresno State Bulldogs (2-0) vs. Wisconsin Badgers (1-1) Bulldogs get no respect in AP or Coaches Poll. If they defeat Wisconsin they will for sure. Badger's offensive tackle Ben Johnson (6-7, 319 lbs) will open the lanes for the running game. Fresno State 27-24 over Wisconsin at Wisconsin.

6. Northwestern Wildcats (1-0) vs. UNLV Rebels (0-1) Running back Damian Anderson will pile up yards for the Wildcats to impress Heisman voters. Rebels need a close game to earn respect in the Mountain West division. Northwestern 36-14 over UNLV at Las Vegas.

7. Alabama Crimson Tide (0-1) vs. Vanderbilt Commodores (0-1) Bama must cut down on penalties and QB Tyler Watts needs a big game to keep his job. Vandy's running game averaged 96.6 yards last season. Alabama 34-10 over Vanderbilt at Vanderbilt.

8. North Carolina Tar Heels (0-2) vs. Texas Longhorns (1-0) Defensive star Julius Peppers, needs a big game to help Tar Heels with an upset. Longhorns QB Chris Simms should shine brightly in this contest. Texas 30-17 over North Carolina at Texas.

9. BYU Cougars (1-0) vs. California Bears (0-1) The Cougars are known for their passing, but they do have a running game with Luke Staley and Brian McDonald. The Bears are good at stopping the run. They held opposing rushers to 2.7 yards per carry in 2000. BYU 40-23 over California at California

10.TCU Horned Frogs (1-1) vs. SMU Mustangs (0-1) Frogs QB Casey Printers is multi-talented. Mustang's running back Kris Briggs may be the best back in the Western Athletic Conference. TCU 24-21 over SMU at SMU.
