Is there a conspiracy in College Football??

A west coast team will never win the BCS Championship because of the BCS Triangle!

What is the BCS Triangle?

Simple, it's the area in which all champions since the early Bowl Alliance/Coalition fall.

The Triangle covers the area from Coral Gables, Florida, north to Flint, Michigan and west to Grand Junction, Colorado.

The only seven teams to win the championship within ten years come from this area.

No team from the Pac-10, WAC or Texas will win the championship because of the BCS Triangle.

This is simply because there is a bias on the part of coaches and sportswriters against the west.

While I am not quite sure if the triangle was created from the circumstances or the circumstances created the triangle, the simple fact is that it exist.

In 1992, undefeated Texas A&M was left out. In '94 Penn State, and most recently, Washington and Oregon were left out, due, supposedly, to the computer ratings, but actually because of the BCS Triangle.

Marshall, Tulane and Toledo have also been left out of the championship picture.

While Virginia Tech, Illinois and Colorado have all had close calls, only VPI played in the BCS Title game.

A playoff may not eliminate the BCS Triangle, but it would be interesting to see how long the Triangle's curse will last.
