‘N Sync and Michael Jackson Celebrate the Solo Years
‘N Sync was recently able to rearrange their schedule to make room for Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, The Solo Years.
Originally scheduled to perform with Jackson, ‘N Sync had to bail from the concert to make room for rehearsals for the MTV Music Awards. Members Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass cite Jackson as an inspiration to their group. Ultimately, they worked it out so they could perform "Dancing Machine" with Jackson. The celebration will also include such high profile stars as Britney Spears and Marlon Brando. Two concerts are scheduled for September 7th and 10th at Madison Square Garden.
Jackson, along with ‘N Sync, Spears and Brando, has a bevy of beautiful ladies signed on as presenters. These ladies include Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minelli, Eartha Kitt and Angie Dickinson. An A-list of other presenters includes Chris Tucker and Samuel L. Jackson. Tucker does an opening monologue on Jackson’s new single, "Rock My World." Exciting news has Jackson reuniting with all his brothers for the first time in nearly twenty years. More presenters will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Jackson has stated that he is looking forward to working with ‘N Sync in a recent article in Rolling Stone magazine.
‘N Sync has recently returned from their PopOdyssey stadium tour, which included a grueling schedule of forty-four concert dates. ‘N Syncer’s Joey Fatone and Lance Bass have a new movie on the horizon and Jive Records (the band’s label) will put out the soundtrack. I am sure we will hear a song or two from the band on that soundtrack. Hopefully, as the star of fame continues to burn brighter for 'N Sync, they won't be sentenced to the same self-imposed seclusion that has sheltered Michael Jackson since he left the pop scene.
