Chris Nielsen Takes You On A Mystic Holiday
Take A Holiday For Your Soul...
Title: Mystic Holiday
Genre: Instrumental Jazz-Classical-New Age
Label: CNP Creative Group
Chris Nielsen takes you on a Mystic Holiday through his music and multimedia experiences on his website. He is a media developer and a music man.
This CD engages your senses with 11 standout tracks of instrumental piano music and various sounds of every day life and nature. Nielsen composed and played all the music on this release. He offers the demanding and astute listener a combination of classical, jazz, new age, blues, and some that sounds like the old time music that they used to play in movie theaters before they had sound, it has a ragtime feel to it.
Nielsen uses all of his talents with this project. His music is an experience that envelopes you, takes away your stress and invites you to partake on a journey, a holiday of the soul if you will. His website is quite the companion to his music. The flash website is ultra cool with different types of visual images set to the music from Mystic Holiday. There are different categories to choose from like a nature walk or visit into the clouds, then for the creative folks there is an area to draw shapes and designs, then yet another for games. So it looks as though the entire gamut of entertainment gets coverage for this artist, it certainly does not seem like he left a stone unturned.
Chris Nielsen is a very talented pianist with a strong commitment to creating quality music with meaning and purpose. With this release, I think he is poised to make an imprint in contemporary music very soon. I can see the music falling into the areas of mood enhancement, relaxation, meditation, spirituality, jazz, classical, new age, so many different categories could apply. For the artist that is a very good thing because it is difficult to generalize what he is doing. He has a distribution contract for Mystic Holiday and other collections that will makes his music available before the holidays for download at all major music portals in 73 countries and at retail stores in the proximity of concert venues. On October 15th there will be a webcast to celebrate the release of the album so make sure you log on to his website, in the meantime a visit to view his creations online is well worth your time.
I think the key to this entire project is how it evolves as you experience every segment that links it all together. The all-encompassing talents of the artist and the use of his website to feature the many facets of the project so they complete a creative circle are what make this so intriguing. Utilizing all the tools an independent artist has at his or her disposal is the main component to making this happen, and I think this approach is an excellent template for any other artist seeking to accomplish the same goals. Good music and a complete multi media experience is becoming the status quo these days and its people like Chris Nielsen that are leading the way.
