Kansas Sunset
A poem about how beautiful Kansas sunsets are.
You see the shadows coming
After a hot still day
You know it is going to be beautiful
Like so many before
The sun turns burnt red
Fading into a meloncoly orange
Spreading across the sky
As far as the eye can see
You sit and stare
As if you never seen it before
But as if it had magical powers
You can't take your eyes
From its beauty
As the sun fades away
To be engulfed by darkness
Once again
You wonder
Will I ever see another
Kansas sunset
