Dreamcatcher

A poem about a dreamcatcher given to me by a friend.

Dreamcatcher
Round and encircling.
Intricate in finely woven filters, like a web.
Soft feathers adorn the outer ring.
A dreamcatcher for all the eviland bad dreams to trap forever.

A mystical symbol of our Indian heritage.
A gift given to me and my son, for comfort.
Catch our bad dreams and trap them like mist over water.

The mystical power of our dreamcatchers.
Take the evil and give us only enlightenment, in our dreamworlds.
