Intelligence Is Everything!

Every one of us possesses at least seven intelligences, says Gardner, a psychologist. According to Gardner: All human beings possess all nine intelligences in varying amounts. Each person has a different intellectual composition.

Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence-("word smart")
Mathematical-Logical Intelligence-("number/reasoning smart")
Musical Intelligence-("music smart")
Visual-Spatial Intelligence-("picture smart")
Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence-("body smart")
Interpersonal Intelligence-("people smart")
Intrapersonal Intelligence-("self smart")

Other two intelligences include

Naturalist Intelligence-("nature smart")
Existential Intelligence-("deep thought smart")

The "traditional" view of intelligence leaves one with such a dismal outlook. This view states that: People are born with a fixed amount of intelligence. Intelligence level does not change over a lifetime. Intelligence consists of ability in logic and language. The "multiple intelligence" view is much more optimistic. Human beings have all of the intelligences, but each person has a unique combination, or profile. We can improve each of the intelligences, though some people will improve more readily in one intelligence than in others.

Linguistic Intelligence

It is magic of words. Linguistic intelligence is intelligence of words. If you like reading and writing, playing with words or good at spelling and verbal - written communication, it is because of your linguistic intelligence. It is process of learning from books, magazine, lectures, presentation and so other sources.

Logical - mathematical intelligence

Believe in numbers. It is intelligence of logic and numbers. It stands by scientist and mathematicians. When you start experimenting with things in controlled and processed way, it is because of your logical - mathematical intelligence. Following sequence and order or solving problems in such fashion, playing mathematical games or creating numerical puzzles are example of having such intelligence with you.

For logical & mathematical intelligent: "It has always seemed to me extreme presumptuousness on the part of those who want to make human ability the measure of what nature can and knows how to do, since, when one comes down to it, there is not one effect in nature, no matter how small, that even the most speculative minds can fully understand." Musical Intelligence

DJs! Rhythm, music and lyrics! It is an intelligence of playing musical instruments, singing, ragas and so others. You get relaxed with music.

Tagore said "When the universe is in harmony with man - the eternal, we know it as truth but we feel it as beauty."

Spatial Intelligence

Art. Painting, sculpture, drawing and photography are based on spatial intelligence. This is an intelligence of mental pictures and images. It enables your thinking and imagination power. Symbolization and mind maps are key indications to meet this intelligence. In other way, you can follow Picasso. Everything you can imagine is real. Or Einstein, imagination is more important than knowledge.

Bodily - kinesthetic Intelligence

Physical fitness. It is an intelligence of expression through physical activities. Sports, games, drama and dancing are expression of bodily - kinesthetic intelligence. It enables your approach of doing everything practically. You are sound in practicality and more realistic. Learn through doing, taking action and then putting on paper is what you like. It needs break learning.

Interpersonal Intelligence

It is an intelligence of communicating with others. You are found of meeting people and chatting with them due to interpersonal intelligence. You are good with others. You know how to organize, relate and tune into others, put people at ease. You learn from others especially you know how to take an advantage of society at all. Your learning is based on other’s experience and sharing. To be an excellent team player with your interpersonal intelligence, follow what Kinlow said. " One who unites others toward a shared destiny through sharing information and ideas, empowering others and developing trust."

Intrapersonal Intelligence

This intelligence makes you quite and introvert. You believe in self-discovery. You prefer to work alone, like peace and quiet. You are day dreaming person. You are intuitive, keep a diary, plan carefully and are independent. You learn by own personal goals and achievement. You learn from your past and control the future. Learning is based on own experience.

Just be sincere in your efforts and appreciate the progress you make, not expecting to be free from unpleasant emotions all at once. Each success builds more power and excitement. The theory of multiple intelligences is alive and true. Every person has a strength or weakness that can be strengthened. We all learn in different ways. One can strengthen their intelligences, and can look forward to using their talents and gifts.
