All About Fun Stuff

Fun Stuff can be very personal. Each of us have own ideas of what fun stuff is. Men, Women and Children all have very different types of fun stuff. Most men have fun watching or playing sports. Some men prefer the arts, like movies, theatre, comedy shows, or just being home watching TV and in total control of the TV remote. Women on the other hand have a few different ideas of fun like having there hair and nails done and being pampered at a beauty salon. To some women shopping is fun. Women can even have fun watching their kids have fun.

Now children, they are the real fun seekers. They spend most of there waking hours (and possibly the sleeping hours) thinking and planning fun stuff they can do. Some of that fun stuff includes video games and computer games. Then there is Pokemon and YuGiOh card games. Kids love playing games and swapping cards with these decks. Boys seem to enjoy activities such as watching Wrestlemania, running and crashing remote control cars and trucks. They like interacting with friend’s while playing with action figures like Spiderman or Batman. Girls on the other hand enjoy more passive fun. Girls of similar ages will get together to play with Barbie Dolls and collect all the fine accoutrements that are available for Barbie, like a Barbie Convertible, a Barbie R.V, and a Barbie motorcycle. Dressing Barbie in any of her numerous Barbie outfits is the real fun for girls. Girls also love video games, board games, and talking to there friends on there very own cell phones. No matter what age a girl is, she must have a cell phone. I guess that is because "Girls just wanna have fun".

What about family fun stuff? Family funs are activities that the whole family can do and enjoy together. Disneyland is one of the best examples of a family fun place with fun things for every member of the family. There are rides, live shows with sing-a-longs, fantasy shows with cartoon themes, family rides that take you through caves and waterways. There are giant sized cartoon characters to meet, like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck just to mention a few. Amusement Parks are also great family fun. And in the summer, there are places for the family to cool down and have fun. There are water parks with giant slides and tons of fun for everyone. Then there is the old standby, a visit to the beach or lake. That is if you are lucky enough to live near the ocean or any body of water. There the family can have unrestricted fun. Mom and dad can sunbathe while the kids splash around in the water and build sand castles. No matter what your family does for fun, the real fun is being a family and being together...

Hobbies, toys, crafts and games rank high on the fun seekers list of Fun Stuff. Internet gambling, Lotteries and Sweepstakes are also quite popular. There is also fun stuff that people have been enjoying throughout the ages, like picnics, parties, holidays and feasts, birthdays, Christmas, Halloween and Mardi Gras. Then there's fiesta's, luau’s, fairs, markets, the circus and carnivals. These are all excellent means of having fun.

Let’s face it we don’t just want to have fun we need to have fun. We need to wind down from our jobs or school or the business of taking care of our families. Having fun is the reward we give ourselves for all the hard work we do. Moreover, we deserve it!

Imagine what it must have been like back in the days of the pioneer’s. There were no televisions, no radio, no cars, and no computers, absolutely none of the luxuries of modern day life. What did they do for fun and relaxation after a hard day on the plains? I am sure that books and newspapers played a very important role in those days because it was the only medium available at the time. The only problem was that most people of that era could not read and education was not seen as a necessity. Possibly education was the fun stuff of that time.
