Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding In Production
Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding a new two-hour reunion movie, is currently in production and will air on Fox during sweeps in February.
Thank Heavens we have yet another Baywatch special to look forward to. Life has seemed so empty without the trials and tribulations of lifeguards on duty. Now we actually have something to look forward to. Not only do we have many returning Baywatch alums, but we even have a few returning from the dead. The premise of this sure to be Emmy winning special is that C.J. (Pamela Anderson) opens a beachside bar-restaurant. Mitch (David Hasselhoff,) who bit the dust during the season ending of Baywatch Hawaii in 2000 is suddenly and inexplicably alive and ready to tie the knot with Neely (Gena Lee Nolin). But of course there is a wrench thrown into the plan when a mysterious woman named Allison (Alexandra Paul) turns up looking like Stephanie (Mitch’s dead ex) after some major cosmetic surgery - and she is after Mitch.
Originally, the reunion show was to be titled Baywatch Blast but was postponed due to lack of returning stars. Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding has a slew of past lifeguards returning to the beach. The film will reunite Anderson, Hasselhoff, and Bleeth with Baywatch babes Gena Lee Nolin, Nicole Eggert, Alexandra Paul, Brande Roderick, Angelica Bridges, and Stacy Kamano. Also returning are some Baywatch hunks such as Billy Warlock, John Allen Nelson, Jeremy Jackson, Michael Bergin and Jason Momoa.
Baywatch was originally created as an NBC series in 1989 with the help of Hasselhoff. There wasn’t much of an audience until it was syndicated. Baywatch helped boost Anderson, Carmen Electra and Yasmine Bleeth to stardom and it once was one of the most popular shows in the world, with viewers in 140 countries. Once a move was made from Malibu to Hawaii, the show failed to produce ratings and was swept out to sea for good in 2001.
