Britney Spears Marries Again

Spears, 22, married her fiancé Kevin Federline, 26, in a secret wedding ceremony over the weekend according to her record label, Jive Records. The label’s spokeswoman Sonia Muckle released a statement Sunday saying, "She did marry him." Reportedly Spears and Federline surprised every one with a surprise ceremony Saturday night. The details were so on the down low that Spears’ mother didn’t even know until the last minute.

The bride wore a white strapless gown and the groom wore the traditional tuxedo. For those that fear that the couple abandoned their tacky ways, after the ceremony it was reported that Spears and her bridesmaids changed into white crushed velvet pantsuits. The bridesmaids had "maid" printed on the back of their pants. The men had changed into similar attire, but sported "pimp" on their behinds with Federline’s father reportedly sporting "pimp daddy" on his. There were reports that Spears and Federline were planning a glitzy ceremony on October 16. That proved not to be the case and the ceremony took place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at a private home in Los Angeles. The reception was reportedly catered by the restaurant chain Hooters. Classy.

Sources say that only 20 to 30 family members and close friends were in attendance and that the October 16th affair is being reworked as a big celebration for all of their friends. Spears not only gained a husband, but two stepchildren. Federline has a two-year old daughter and newborn son with actress Shar Jackson. Luckily for Spears, after much arguing with her mother, she did have Federline sign a pre-nup because seriously, how long can this marital bliss last? No doubt, the bookies have already started taking bets on how long it will last. Tick, tock, tick, tock…
