The Ties that Bind

A poem about my life and relationships.
The Ties that Bind

Trace my past.
It was foretold not to last.
How have we remained.
Still to this day.
Not willing to walk away.
Are we fools, living on a dream?
Hearts stained from the past.
Shattered inside.
Held by the ties that bind.
So many years together.
Through stormy weather.
How long will this last?
Maybe forever.
