Take The Posture Of A Giraffe In Marketing

Take The Posture Of A Giraffe In Marketing
"The only way to convert a heathen is to travel into the jungle." Lane Kerland

When you decide to make "Personal Marketing" your mission and position yourself for greater success you will begin to literally forge ahead into a jungle, taking massive concentrated and controlled actions. However, therein presents a problem for most people -- taking massive action. Far too many people have reached a level of complacency believing that if they have their needs meet -- why rock the boat.

Look back one year and see how rapidly change has accrued -- then project forward and you will realize that the jungle is only getting thicker. You no longer can rest on your laurels when it comes to success. You must ask for what you want. More importantly if you are to succeed you must not ask for what you think you can get or what you think is reasonable. You must be unreasonable in your demands.

"Never limit yourself to what you think is reasonable. You have to learn that ambition and desires may seem more unreasonable to you than they do to other People."

The sudden leap to success and wealth seldom comes through the normal channels of passive action. You are the product. Your goal and objective in a jungle is to get your head above the masses and be recognized as a person who makes things happen. Be creative and innovative. Creativity and innovation can open new opportunities in areas never thought possible.

Personal Marketing is simply positioning power linked to a series of concentrated and unreasonable action steps, which can transform your career and business.

Here are five smart decisions and action steps to take in your marketing:

1. Develop a passion for marketing and make it your mission. Communicate your own, and your company's message in new, innovative, interesting and creative ways.

2. Let people know how they should think of you and your company. People draw conclusions by making comparisons-- make sure they draw the right conclusions and make the right comparisons that will best serve your goals.

3. Focuses on what your customers' want, need, care about and expect from you.

4. Be relentless in your personal marketing -- develop a maverick attitude. Persistence is power. Never let up on the tension of marketing. Many people never stay with anything long enough to produce results.

5. Be distinctive, compelling, innovative, creative and when in a jungle posture yourself as a Giraffe.
