Pain of a child
I wrote this poem after I saw a little girl on my bus who was being pimped out by her mom.
Have had another of seeing children sitting in the darkness without a shoulder to cry on
Why are we so afraid to reach out a hand to deliver them from darkness?
I am so afraid to wake up in the morning because I'm going to see a child in pain
And know I can’t help
I look into a child’s eyes and see their plea for help
Sometimes I lay in bed while I can feel the Child's pain
At time I just run, run as fast I can until I'm too tired to think of what I could have done
I feel so helpless, I know I can help, I just need a chance
I just ask for one thing
Just for a chance.
Please give me your opinions -- good or bad.
