That's Over Now

Abusive relationship + messed up childhood = good poetry
Blue eyes stare me down
Wishing, hoping that I'd drown
Knock me hard to the ground
But, that's over now

In your presence, a forced smile
See you coming from a mile
Screaming loud for a while
But, that's over now

Loving arms you'd always trust
Thinking that the world is just
You think there'd be more love than lust
But, that's over now

Hate yourself because you cried
Wishing that your eyes were dried
Can't believe that they all lied
But, that's over now

Blue eyes stare me down
Watch closely as I drown
Push me down to the ground
But, that's over now
It's all over now
