Goal Setting, for Body Building!

How important are your goals for you? For me, they are my life!
It’s fascinating to know that as children we want to be everything and anything that catches our fancy. My brother changed his goal from being a chef, when he saw me cooking to becoming a motor man, when he traveled with me and even wanted to be a fire man when he say a building catch fire, that too all in one breath! While we grow, we don’t realize that our goals get influenced by other people’s opinion and whilst in teens, we are perhaps more confused than we would be in our entire life!

So what are goals, and do we really need them?
Actually goals are your descriptions of the condition that you seek to achieve. It relates to a situation you want to be in when you have carried out actions. Goals need to be clear they also need to be realistic, besides possessing a deadline. According to fitness Freak Arnold Schwarzenegger, it’s possible for you to make small goals. These are generally the ones, which can be achieved. This actually makes more sense, as that way you could also get the satisfaction that you have achieved something and you could start with making plans for even more goals.

Bodybuilding is one such area that requires you to make realistic goals. You need to make definitive goals that would help you achieve your ideal weight and muscle. Another thing that comes hand in hand is focus. You need to understand your level of focus while making your goals. Many a times we as humans tend to make too many plans only to get depressed on not having realized them.

One day at a Time
Most of the times, we are so charged to achieve an ideal body that we forget of the perils of our body functioning as well. There are times while at work you are so deeply stressed that the work keeps your mind good company so that you tend to lose track of the number of reps involved while lifting weights. Try avoiding such situations.

The best bet would be a good number playing by to give you company. There are many who may achieve some levels within bodybuilding while others may not. In order to achieve your goal it is important that you do not get discouraged and go ahead with a single focus of realizing your achievements. Of course there are some who go overboard in the light of competition and take things to seriously. As much as possible it is advisable to write down such goals. When you write these goals transform themselves into an audio-visual medium, making it possible for you to retain them.

Another aspect in achieving your goal is the importance of friends. You may wonder how in the world did the topic of friends come in the picture? While on your way to achieve as many accomplishments, you need to bring in your humane side to the fore.

With a boisterous attitude and a single focus on what you do, you tend to miss out on the appreciation and the improvements that only your friends could tell you. It is important that you take their suggestion in the right spirit, as these are hints that would lead you to your goal. Family and other relationships are also equally important in this light. After all why do you work out? To look good, to feel good and energetic and be loved even more by you near and dear ones, an ideal goal to follow I’d say!
