Round-up
Shaun McRae will reveal today whether his threat to quit Hull was genuine or merely psychology to fire up his team for the Super League play-offs.
The Australian is the only man to have coached in every round of the British game's seven summer seasons. But he went away for the weekend to consider his future after Hull folded 64-10 at St Helens on Friday.
Before leaving he said: "I don't want to be associated with performances like that. Maybe I am getting too old and tired for this. I'll make an announcement soon because it's not fair to leave it any longer. Then they can get someone in who can work with the players next week."
McRae has already been linked with Leeds, who have had another disappointing season under Daryl Powell.
Wigan's Australian wing Jamie Ainscough, who suffered a suspected broken wrist in Saturday's 32-14 defeat at Bradford, will learn today whether he will miss the rest of the season. Victory took Bradford level top with St Helens, who have a slightly better points difference. The last round of games sees Bradford at Hull on Friday and St Helens visiting London Broncos two days later.
Oldham and Batley sprang surprises in the first round of the Northern Ford Premiership play-offs yesterday, winning at Hull KR and Doncaster. Oldham face Rochdale next weekend and Batley play Featherstone, who beat Whitehaven 42-14.
Australia will be without their captain Andrew Johns for next month's two Tests against New Zealand after he broke three bones in his back in Newcastle's shock defeat by St George Illawarra Dragons.
