Golf: Woods and Furyk Head for the K Club
Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk are making the most of their weekend off, getting to know the K Club.
If Europe's Ryder Cup team had any doubt about their opponents' desire to win back golf's most prestigious team trophy it will surely have vanished amid reports that Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk travelled to the K Club in Ireland last night for two extra days of practice before next week's eagerly anticipated contest.
The two Americans were knocked out in the first round of the World Match Play Championship at Wentworth on Thursday and it was believed they had gone back to the States, but sources in Ireland claim they hurriedly travelled to the K Club.
The close friends are almost certain to be paired together next week. With the pair already in situ, the rest of the US team will arrive to be greeted by Europe's captain Ian Woosnam.
