Earlier this week a London tabloid reported that Britney Spears had given birth a month early after being rushed to a hospital in Santa Monica. David Frossman, her UK representative, shot down reports that the pop tart had delivered early and said the baby was "due sometime in the next month." Well, the little babushka has made his debut. Reportedly, Spears and Federline arrived at California's Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center a little before 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Baby Spears was born by cesarean section shortly after 12:15 p.m. No word yet on what the little one's name is, but it has been rumored to be a toss-up between London and Preston.

Spears recently said in an interview that she was not looking forward to labor and that she "didn't want to go through pain." Said Spears, "I have a feeling I'm going to have an operation [a Caesarian section]. I don't know why, but I hope so." Looks like she got her wish. Spears' pregnancy has not been without drama. In April, she was rushed to a hospital after she experienced stomach cramps and some bleeding. A month later she was back in the hospital with severe stomach cramps. Holly Phillips, a New York doctor, recently said Spears needed to give up sex (Spears' reportedly recently boasted of a very active sex life), fast food, and being around hubby Feddy's second hand smoke to allow for a healthy pregnancy and delivery.

Spears' spokeswoman Leslie Sloane Zelnik snapped that "no one asked for her opinion" and that Phillips' "should mind her own business, shut her trap, and get a life." Zelnik also said that Spears was maintaining a "healthy lifestyle" during her pregnancy. Sure, if healthy means vats of Slurpees and bags of Cheetohs. This is Federline's third child. He has two kids, Kori, 3, and Kaleb, 1, with his ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson. Maybe he will spend a little more time with this one.
Now that she is a mom, do you think Britney Spears will ever go back to performing?
