He Said, She Said

Sources say that Jennifer Lopez has split from her longtime makeup artist Scott Barnes, and things are turning ugly. Lopez began to question why so much personal info was being revealed in the press. She began to suspect Barnes of leaking the info and purposefully fed him false info that was in turn leaked to the press. Barnes vehemently denies the accusations. He claims that the split was over money.

Barnes claims that Lopez has yet to pay him for the work he did on her wedding day. Barnes, whose day rate is upwards of a thousand dollars, claims that he went to Lopez's Beverly Hills mansion on June 5^th, thinking he was going to be getting her ready for the 2004 MTV Movie Awards. Instead, he was surprised to learn that she was marrying singer Marc Anthony in a surprise backyard ceremony. Barnes says he ended up doing make-up for Lopez and a few family and friends. He said, "I came over on the pretense of business and ended up doing five times the work and wasn't paid." Lopez's rep will only say that his client is no longer doing business with Barnes. Now it has been rumored that Barnes is in talks to write a tell-all book about his famous ex-client and it promises to be juicy.

Sources say that Barnes has threatened to spill all her secrets if she does not stop criticizing him in public. He has the goods on Lopez's faith healer who allegedly puts curses on people who cause Lopez "distress" and who cleanses her home of "bad auras." Wonder how much that sets J. Lo back for each house cleansing! If Barnes does write a tell-all book, one can only hope he has the low-down on Lopez's tumultuous love life.
