Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes
The chocolate chip cookie is a people's favorite. Many other delicious and loved recipes evolved from the classic one.
Since the mid-30s, the chocolate chip cookie has become the most popular cookie in North America.
It is Ruth Wakefield, owner of the Toll House Inn, who "accidentally" discovered the chocolate chip cookies when she added some Nestle chocolate bar morsels because she ran out of some baker's chocolate. The resulting cookies ended in a surprisingly happy treat.
Since then, many different recipes evolved from the original "Toll House" one to the greatest pleasure of chocolate chip cookie eaters.
First of all there is the classic one, which people are used to and often qualify as the "best" one. It is a small simplification of the original Toll House one minus the nuts. This is the one that is found, to a certain degree, almost everywhere.
Then there are nutritive variations like the bran, whole wheat and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Although these may be less soft than the classic one, they still offer plenty of "tasty" reward on top of having some healthy ingredients.
For nut lovers there are also peanut butter and chunky walnut variations. These too, since they incorporate peanuts or nuts, add some healthy benefits to the cookies. Not to say that these chocolate chip cookies are actually good for your health but at least they do add some nutritive value.
For strict vegetarians, there is even a vegan version of the chocolate chip cookie that exists.
So overall, since the classic chocolate chip cookie is so much an all-time people's favorite, it can evolved in a large variety of different recipes that will also be delightfully tasted as well.
