Denise Richards & Richie Sambora To Wed?

The story was first reported by Life & Style magazine claiming that Sambora popped the big question and presented Richards with a 9.5 carat ring that cost $100,000. Richards has reportedly been wearing the ring on his right hand. A source told the magazine, "They were on their way to the Staples Center [in L.A.] to see the fights. He got down on one knee in the back of the limo. It was reported that the couple decided to say "I do" in Positano, Italy in May 2007 which will mark one year since they vacationed there.

Not so according to a rep for Richards and Sambora. The rep said in a statement, "It is unfortunate that a false story has been printed about Denise Richards and Richie Sambora. The story that they are engaged is completely false and is hurtful to their children and their many fans." Just because the rep is denying the reports doesn’t mean that they aren’t true. Who knows if they will still be dating in May!

Richards and Sambora shocked quite a few people when they began dating. Not only were both recently separated, but Richards was former best friends with his ex Heather Locklear. It was even reported that Richards urged Locklear to dump Sambora after she allegedly found racy emails and pictures from his former assistant. Locklear reportedly felt like she was stabbed in the back by Richards. Richards on the other hand claimed that her relationship with Locklear was over and beyond repair before she started a relationship with Sambora.
