Athletics: British Star Faces Olympic Ban
Britain's Christine Ohuruogu must explain her failure to attend three drugs tests or face an Olympic ban.
Christine Ohuruogu, the Commonwealth 400m champion and tipped to be the face of the London Olympics in 2012, could lose the opportunity to compete at the games if she is found guilty of a doping violation and suspended at a hearing due to be held in London today.
The 22-year-old, born and raised close to the future site of many of the events of the London Olympics, faces a ban of up to year if she cannot explain satisfactorily why she missed three drugs tests in less than 12 months.
Additionally if she is banned, she would be automatically disqualified by the British Olympic Association from representing Britain in any Olympic Games.
