Bush Daughters Getting Bad Rap
After being asked repeatedly by the Bush family to back off, the press has moved forward yet again in their relentless pursuit of "dirt" on the first daughters.
It seems that the entertainment press has taken their coverage of the Bush daughters, and everything that they say and do, to an entirely new level. Perhaps it was four years of not covering Chelsea that has really gotten them in the mood to sling some mud, or maybe it is just the fact that a republican president is back in the White House. Regardless, something is fueling this incessant and negative coverage of Jenna and Barbara Bush, and it may be the American public's insatiable appetite for gossip.
I mean, who doesn't want to read some dirt on the first daughters? It must make anyone with kids who aren't making national headlines for underage drinking seem that they are doing something right in their parenting routines. Most recently, the Bush daughters have been trailed as they hit the "Hollywood Party Circuit" and the entertainment press has chosen to simply imply improprieties, as opposed to proving them. Word is that the National Enquirer is going to run a photo of Jenna Bush at a party with, brace yourself, a glass in her hand. Apparently, the National Enquirer has uncovered that Jenna Bush was holding a drinking instrument at a social event and they were even able to capture it on film. Kudos to the staff at the Enquirer -- well done.
It will also be revealed by the Enquirer that both Bush daughters have been attending parties with other celebrities in their age group and that the secret service agents aren't holding their hands the entire time. Well, that certainly does seem out of place. Young girls attending parties with friends and allowing their bodyguards to wait for them when their location has been secured -- most interesting and unusual. Pretty soon we'll be hearing that Jenna and Barbara eat fast food, enjoy listening to music, and like just hanging out with their friends. Hopefully, we can count on the National Enquirer, and other reputable news sources, to uncover this information and pipe it out to us immediately.
