Aaron Spelling Tribute on Hold Indefinitely
Tori Spelling’s planned televised tribute to her late father Aaron has been stopped by her mother Candy due to their family feud.

Tori Spelling was working on a tribute to her father Aaron and she was doing double duty as host and executive producer on the ABC documentary, which is slated to air this fall. It has been reported that numerous stars that had worked with the elder spelling had signed on to the project and some had allegedly already taped interviews for the special. It was reported that as soon as Mama Spelling heard Tori was involved in the development of the project, she refused to release clips from Spelling’s shows that included Charlie’s Angels, Beverly Hills 90210, The Love Boat, and Melrose Place.
A source said, "Candy wouldn’t release the clips of his shows because Tori was involved in the project. She had it killed." Kevin Sasaki, the Spelling family’s mouthpiece, had a different story. Sasaki said, "Regarding the proposed ABC Special, Candy Spelling sincerely felt the timing was not right as the Emmy Awards telecast was also planning a special tribute to Aaron." A spokesperson for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has reportedly said that an Emmy tribute to the TV titan is "Still up in the air."
Aaron Spelling passed away June 23 at the age of 83. Tori and her mother have been at odds for a number of years now, but their relationship has become even more strained since Aaron’s death. Tori has appeared on magazine cover after magazine cover discussing the feud. She has discussed her mother’s alleged affair and the fact that’s he learned via email from a friend about her father’s passing. "The Spelling Family," which is though to consist of Candy and her son Randy, released a statement that read they were "deeply saddened that, during our time of loss and grief, we are forced to respond to the media frenzy caused by the mean-spirited and surprising comments made by Tori to the press." It has also been reported that Tori will only receive an inheritance of $800,000 from her father’s reported $500 million fortune…sources say that Candy had everything to do with that "financial snub."
