PA Brothers Killed in Separate Wrecks on Same Road, Same Night
Two Pennsylvania brothers died in motorcycle crashes on the same road within two hours of each other, with one of them riding a motorcycle owned by another man who died riding it.

Steven Kerr, 37, died shortly before 9:00 p.m. Saturday night when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a speed limit sign on state Route 38. Police said that the family was notified less than two hours later, and Kerr's brother, Jeremy Kerr, left to go to the site of Steven's accident. Jeremy, 29, came upon the emergency crews still working on the scene of his brother's accident and crashed into the rear of a vehicle that was stopped in traffic because of the blocked road. Jeremy was killed less than 100 yards from where his brother's body lay. The occupants of the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries, according to authorities.
Randy Kerr, another brother, said that Jeremy had been in the process of buying his motorcycle from Steven. According to the Pittsburg Tribune Review, Steven had received the motorcycle in a will from a friend who had been killed in a crash on the same motorcycle.
Steven Kerr was married; Jeremy Kerr was divorced, the father of two girls aged 9 and 5. A donation fund to assist the families has been set up under the name of Nancy Kerr, the men's mother, at the Farmers National Bank in Butler, PA.
