Tennis: Former champion Lleyton Hewitt was in commanding form as he demolished Albert Costa in straight sets at the US Open.
Third seed Lleyton Hewitt booked his place in the second round of the US Open with a straight-sets victory over Spain's Albert Costa.
The 24-year-old, who won the title at Flushing Meadows in 2001, was never in trouble against Costa, 30, and cruised to a 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 success in the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The Australian hit eight aces on his way to victory and smashed 23 winners past his bewildered opponent.
