The Boy You Once Were

This poem is about drugs and how they affected the relationship between me and the guy I love...
Can't ever be,
like it was before.
Coz I've changed so much,
and you've changed so much more.

Thinking about,
how we used to be.
Knowing that we'll never be the same,
wanting for you to say sorry.

At the time I was confused,
didn't understand you at all.
Why were you acting like this?
you thought you were so tall.

Was amongst the big shots,
Mr. powerful and cool.
Found out it was the drugs,
making you act like this fool.

You caused alot of pain,
to the ones you stepped on along the way.
And I can't seem to face the facts,
that you'll never be the same.

Last time I saw your face,
no emotion showed through.
I couldn't even find a trace,
of what had used to be you.

The hope of who you once were,
fades as every day a news.
An empty shell of you remains,
and it's still the drugs you choose...
