Ft. Lauderdale, FLA.-USH is a group of teenagers hailing from Pembroke Pines, Florida. The oldest member is 17 and the youngest 16. Do not let age fool you; this band is far beyond their years in musical maturity. They are certainly not your typical teenage garage band. Many bands twice their age have not achieved the success in the local Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale market as they have. The young men have opened up for national acts as Thursday, and Coheed & Cambria. In addition to those impressive credits, they have managed to win numerous battles of the bands, and are a Sunday night favorite on the ZETA goes local radio show (WZTA 94.9FM). Their unique style mixes rock, punk, and hardcore together to give them a distinctiveness that is hard to peg and a unique cross over appeal.
Their newest CD entitled You Don’t Need This As Bad As I Do is enjoying success, and is on sale at CD Baby, Amazon.com, and many local record stores throughout the South Florida area. Their notoriety has spread far beyond the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area to the island of Trinidad, were they will be playing at an annual event hosted by local radio stations called the Gathering. They are slated to kick out the jams on November 27th 2004 for their distant fans.
Basing their music on real life experiences makes their music appealing to people of all ages. With a hardcore and alternative rock attitude and lyrics that have meaning, this band is a rare commodity and something special that you need to hear.
