Britney Spears Strikes Back

For those of you who are confused, it has been reported that Britney Spears has been recently seen hanging out with Jared Leto, Cameron Diaz’s ex. Diaz began dating Justin Timberlake a few months ago after her and Leto ended their four-year relationship. Coincidence? One has to wonder just how much of this can be coincidence. Earlier this month, Spears and Leto ran into each other at Dolce, a hot L.A. eatery. Spears and Leto share a mutual friend, so Leto came over to say hello to the friend. Soon after that, according to a source, Leto and Spears were "deep in conversation. He was leaning into her and talking closely for a long time. They seemed pretty happy and they were smiling."

They apparently "hit it off" because after dinner the new "friends" went to Ben Affleck’s birthday party together. When asked about Leto, Spears simply smiled and said, "Oh, he’s really sweet." Seems that maybe the "chance" meeting between the two really was more to make their ex’s a bit jealous. A friend of Spears’ says the pop tart "doesn’t think like that." Really? Funnily enough when Timberlake was reportedly romancing Alyssa Milano, Spears was rumored to be romancing Limp Bizkit’s frontman Fred Durst. Why is that funny, you might ask? Milano is reportedly Durst’s ex-girlfriend. Hmmm…the plot thickens.

If the buzz about Diaz and Timberlake is any indication, there probably was little to no jealous feelings. The two are apparently very much into one another and have rarely been apart since their romance blossomed. If the rumors are true that Spears and Leto are trying to make their ex’s jealous, it seems Justin made the right choice in going for an older woman.
