The Lachey’s
Jessica Simpson and new hubby Nick Lachey are starring in a new reality show about their first year of marriage.
Ozzy and fam did it, Liza and whatshisname attempted to do it, Anna Nicole did it, now meet the Lachey’s – Nick & Jessica. Pop’s everywhere couple Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson simply love the limelight and feel as if there will be an audience that will want to follow every aspect of their lives. Fact is, they are probably right. The super duo have agreed to live life in the public eye and their show "Newlyweds" began airing on MTV on August 19.
The two wed last October and say they are very much in love and want to use this opportunity to show the world that there are celebrity couples who are in love. Aww, thanks for enlightening us poor public folk. The lovebirds have led a very public romance so it just seems natural to invite the cameras into their home – but not into their bathroom or bedroom because they had to draw the line somewhere. Some say the first year is the hardest, guess we will have to wait and see. It could just mean that they are still too smitten to really worry about the little things. Let’s wait and see what happens in season two when reality has set in – or will it?
The two began dating after meeting during a 1999 tour. They dated steadily until spring 2001 when they announced they were "taking a break." They reconciled after six-months apart and apparently are stronger for it. Their wedding was part of a celebrity wedding special in January and Simpson wrote a book about planning her wedding called "I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding." For the newlyweds watching the show in your one bedroom apartment eating pizza out of a box and drinking cheap wine, just remember that you are watching reality TV, right?
