"Break Not Your Heart"

While reflecting I realized a hurt that I had caused and how deep the wounds must have felt to them. I sat at the top of 'Sleeping Giant' and wrote this song....
"Break Not Your Heart"
We all disappoint someone, sometime... right? We do our best and yet sometimes we find ourselves just being thoughtless and perhaps selfish. The problem is that sometimes we hurt other people without thinking how deep the repercussions that fall on the ones we love the most might become. Sometimes we don't even realize the hurt we have caused until months later.

I used to hike up to Sleeping Giant when I lived on Kauai, Hawaii. I would hike up to the top where you could look out and see all of Kapaa and beyond, spectacular!! At the top I would take in the view and reflect on who I was and all the 'New Age' things people do these days. While reflecting I realized a hurt that I had caused and how deep the wounds must have felt to them. I sat at the top of 'Sleeping Giant' and wrote this song:

"Break Not Your Heart"

a song:

1)
There will be times
and treasures I've known,
there will be rivers
melted from snow.

2)
There will be dreams
attached to autumn leaves,
there will be springtime
and reasons to flee.

Chorus:

And break not your heart
hold back the wounds
however inflicted
they were not meant for you.

3)
There will be seas
only airplanes and ships adorn
there will be silence
for a sorrow too worn.

4)
There will be sighs
as the ruler points wrong
yet... there will be comfort
in the rainbow of song.

Chorus

Break:

Time passes by
I plot to hear you call
and yet I know why
and have accepted it all.

Chorus
