The Top

This poem is about me fighting depression and overtaking suicidal thoughts....

I was so lonely
I was so afraid
I just wanted to die
But it's all behind me now
Now I can keep striving to the top
No body can stop me now
No words can pull me down
I am me and nobody can take that away

Please tell me where I can improve my poetry as I have just started?
