Anthony Not Baby’s Daddy
Singer and Mr. J.Lo, Marc Anthony, did not father a Miami woman’s baby according to results from a third paternity test.
Cuban dancer-waitress Elizabeth Leyva, 21, claimed Anthony, 34, fathered her eight-month old son Anthony Luis and filed a paternity suit in a Florida court earlier this year. Anthony has denied that he fathered the child since the beginning and now has had three paternity tests that say he didn’t. How many tests does one need to determine paternity? Orin Snyder, Anthony’s lawyer, said the most recent DNA test proving that the Latin singing star was not the father was conducted on August 13 by Orchid GeneScreen.
"The three leading paternity labs in the world have confirmed scientifically that he is not the father. There is no reality to this claim whatsoever." Snyder said. Anthony’s camp has asked Leyva to drop her suit. No word yet from Leyva as to what she plans to do. Snyder said, "After more than a year of false accusations and harassment, Marc looks forward to putting this episode behind him and to moving on with his life."
The baby fiasco reportedly played a hand in the demise of Anthony’s marriage to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, whom he wed in 2000 and with whom he has two sons. Anthony also has a nine-year old daughter from a previous relationship. The I Need to Know singer obtained a quickie divorce in the Dominican Republic and a week later reportedly married ex-lover Jennifer Lopez. The union has not been confirmed by either camp, despite wedding pictures appearing in all the rag mags. Sources are now speculating that Anthony and Lopez are expecting their own little bundle of joy. If this is the case, chances are they probably won’t have any trouble determining the paternity in this case.
