"FLASH" Patriots owner in hospital, RB Anderson in talks with team

Mista Sinista drops a newsflash your way from the New England area. His prayers and thoughts go out to the team and family.
New England Patriot's owner Robert Kraft is in the hospital, while running back Jamal Anderson is in talks with the team.

I don't want to lose anything in the translation of the story, so I'm going to share with you the statement that the team released today to the public and press. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and team.

Statement on the condition of Patriots Owner Robert K. Kraft August 22, 2002 by New England Patriots

During a planned medical check-up yesterday at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, the doctors of Patriots owner Robert Kraft identified a coronary condition during an angiogram that required surgery. His doctors performed coronary by-pass surgery early yesterday morning. Robert is now in recovery at Brigham and Women's and doing well. He is expected to make a full and complete recovery.

As for the other hot New England topic, the word out of Foxboro is that RB Jamal Anderson may be in a Patriots uniform by the end of the week if negotiations go well.

I guess you guys want my thoughts on this matter? It would be healthier for Anderson to come here because his knee injuries are mainly from the abuse of playing on turf. Here he would play on grass for all of two games, but here's where I have to throw my two cents in as coach. I'll also give the credit to my man Zack who sold me on the idea. Yes, bringing Anderson here will light a fire under the butt of RB Antowain Smith, but there is no way the Pats are going to carry five RB's and three FB's.

So what you do is find out what the durability of Anderson will be, and slide him over into the FB spot ahead of Marc Edwards and split the duties on turf games. This leaves Smith, Kevin Faulk and J.R. Redmond at the RB spot, while RB Antwoine Womack, and FB's Patrick Pass and Scott Dragos may be shown the door if they can't make special teams.

If this deal goes through, and it does happen... Be sure to send your coaching requests to the Sinista1@msn.com. I'll try to look through all of the requests, but I won't be able to make a decision at this time.
