She'd Smile at His Back...
About an abusive relationship going too far...
Everytime he left her
She'd let out a relieved sigh,
And then when he'd come stalking back,
She'd hold her breath and smile,
He would hurt her and abuse her,
But she had no way out,
Only each time that he left her,
When she could open her mouth,
But nobody was there to listen,
And even if they were,
She couldn't say a word to them,
Because only he cared for her,
To everyone else she was nothing,
And that's what he made her believe,
And she did because she cared for him,
Even if she saw his back with relief,
Then one day he hit her too hard,
And that one day she bled,
And he refused to get her help,
And that night she was dead...
She'd let out a relieved sigh,
And then when he'd come stalking back,
She'd hold her breath and smile,
He would hurt her and abuse her,
But she had no way out,
Only each time that he left her,
When she could open her mouth,
But nobody was there to listen,
And even if they were,
She couldn't say a word to them,
Because only he cared for her,
To everyone else she was nothing,
And that's what he made her believe,
And she did because she cared for him,
Even if she saw his back with relief,
Then one day he hit her too hard,
And that one day she bled,
And he refused to get her help,
And that night she was dead...
