Why Did Blood Mary Not Kill?

I wanted to die that night but all she did was hurt me why not kill me?
She travels through your mirror
she carries her knife
mirror to mirror
killing the ones
that displease her
or that call for her

Why was I lucking
to walk away that day
why did she not kill me
I repeated the verse
"bloody mary bloody mary
I want to die
come and get me"
was did she scratch, cut, scar
but not kill
