Why Mom Why?

It talks about a kid wondering why her mom left her.
Why did you leave?
Why did you go?
You left me and want away
But I want you home to stay
You'll never come back
Now i believe that old saying
"if tears could build a stairway
And memories a lane
I'd walk right up to heaven
And bring you home again"
But i know that will never happen
