Lopez and Noa have reportedly been battling over a tell-all book that he has threatened to write. The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrait of a Serial Killer is set to detail Lopez and Noa's short marriage and their first sexual encounter. Lopez alleges that Noa demanded a $5 million payment to stop him from writing the book that will also supposedly discuss the singer's affair with her now husband Marc Anthony while he was still married to Dayanara Torres. It has also been reported that Noa will discuss J. Lo's "multiple duplicitous affairs" on the set of the 1997 film Anaconda.
Noa has denied that he demanded a $5 million payout to stop marketing his book. A hearing was held on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court and lawyers for both parties claimed that Lopez and Noa were hoping to settle their differences through arbitration outside court. Anything to keep the book from being written.
This is not the first time that Lopez and Noa have battled it out in court. Just last year, Noa sued Lopez after he claimed she fired him as manager of her restaurant Madre's. He claimed she had fired him "without cause." The two settled out of court for $125,000 and he agreed that he could not discuss the intimate details of their marriage nor could he profit from their relationship. Guess he has run out of money and is looking for a bigger pay out. The couple divorced in March 1998 after only 11 months of marriage.
