White Wings
Just about a girl talking to her mum...
I saw you crying,
I watch as you fall,
I feel I should help you,
You helped me, after all.
You sat with me and waited,
Like not many people could do,
You held my hand as I died,
I wish I could do the same for you.
Please listen to this advice,
Don’t take your life away,
Get some help before it’s too late,
Then everything will be okay.
I’m sorry for what I did Mum,
Life was getting a bit too hard you see,
I’m sorry I took the pills,
I just don’t want you to join me.
Hold your head high and get out of bed,
Think of me and never forget,
Walk down that street with no shame on your face,
I know you have strength in you yet.
So spread your wings,
And learn how to fly,
This message is from me,
Your little girl in the sky.
I watch as you fall,
I feel I should help you,
You helped me, after all.
