Ethiopian track legend Haile Gebrselassie could only manage fifth as team-mate and world champion Kenenisa Bekele won gold in the men's 10,000m final.
The Olympics waved goodbye to one of its most enduring talents last night when Ethiopia's Haile Gebrselassie could only finish fifth in the men's 10,000m final. Team-mate and world champion Kenenisa Bekele took gold with a time of time 27m 5.10s to seal his reputation as the future of long-distance running.
Silver went to his team mate Sileshi Sihine with Zersenay Tadesse of Eritrea winning the bronze.
