Mercedes Benz S-Class Gets Much Recognition

One of the multi-awarded vehicle models in the automotive world is the Mercedes Benz S-Class. But, of course. It would not be very surprising. After all, we all do know that the Mercedes Benz brand certainly makes sure that when it creates vehicles, it would be topnotch and would hold the best types of features that would give drivers and passengers luxury, comfort, and an unforgettable ride. And as proof, this model has already brought home various international and very prestigious awards. It took home the Golden Steering Wheel Award which is given by the Bild am Sonntag. Bild am Sonntag is a Sunday newspaper in Germany that has got the highest circulation. And the judges for this award were not just the readers or the editors. Those who decided on which vehicle to receive the award included Hans Hermann and Walter Rohrl, who both are racing car drivers. Another judge is Barbara Schoneberger who is a television presenter.

There also is the Limousine of the Year award which was also given to the Mercedes Benz S-Class. This recognition is given out by the Top Gear magazine which is under the much popular BBC. According to the group of award-givers, they chose the Mercedes Benz S-Class as the recipient of the award because they found the best type of space and comfort among all other vehicles. They also did research so as to back up their decisions.

Best Luxury Car is another award that the Mercedes Benz S-Class received. This one was given out by the UK magazine ‘What Car?’. In the words of the magazine’s editor, David Motton, "When Mercedes Benz launches a new S-Class, the rest of the world gasps in amazement."

The Mercedes Benz S-Class is created by DaimlerChrysler and it has been in production since 1954. It is a full sized luxury car and has been built as coupes with two doors and sedans that hold four.
