Pete Doherty’s Latest Bust
Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has pleaded guilty to possessing illegal drugs after being arrested last week in London.

The charges stem from last weeks arrest and two other incidents that occurred earlier this year. On Thursday Doherty was charged with seven counts of drug possession including crack cocaine, marijuana, and heroin. He spent the night in jail and on Friday he pleaded guilty to five of the seven counts and is to appear in court on September 4 for sentencing. District Judge Alison Rose warned Doherty that he is possibly facing jail time. She also ordered Doherty to stay at a clinic in Southgate north London until his sentencing hearing
Doherty, a self-proclaimed drug user, first garnered fame with his band The Libertines. He also attracted a lot of attention after pictures of his on-again-off-again girlfriend supermodel Kate Moss surfaced showing Moss allegedly using cocaine at a studio where Doherty and his new band Babyshambles were recording. Since then Moss has allegedly dumped Doherty and tried to get her life back in order. She seems to have straightened out while Doherty seems to be doggedly determined to ruin his life or kill himself with drugs.
It was reported last month that Doherty canceled a concert and announced that he would be entering a rehabilitation facility to combat his out of control drug habit. He also recently talked of having a chemical device implanted in his abdomen to reportedly prevent him from being able to get high. So far nothing has worked. Doherty has been arrested so many times in the past year that it is hard to keep up. The amazing thing is that no one seems to want to put this guy in jail. He has managed to stay out of jail despite all of his drug possession charges and arrests. Come on! Doherty obviously can’t and won’t help himself.
