Marc Bulger - Not a Fantasy Football Gimmick
Past performance, statistical analysis, and projected 2005/2006 stats tell you that Marc Bulger is one of the top Fantasy Football QB picks for 2005.
Fantasy Football can be exciting. However, I find Marc Bulger to be boring. I just can't get into him as a player. Fortunately, I don't let that get in the way of the facts.
The facts are that Marc Bulger is a good choice for your fantasy football team.
At StatLeader.com, we pride ourselves on letting the stats do the talking. This year they clearly point to Marc Bulger being a top five pick for many league scoring systems.
In 2004, Bulger was a consistent fantasy football QB that delivered dependable performance game in and game out. It's that kind of consistency, combined with the potential for a breakout 2005 that helps Bulger make it to the top five of the QB Rankings.
In addition to his 21 TD's passing in 2004, he also rushed for 3 more. Most people don't realize that Bulger averages better than 3 rushing TD's / 16 games. The only real problem with Bulger's statistics is that, because of injuries, he hasn't completed a full season. The injury bug remains the downside to selecting Bulger with your first QB pick - and his knack of throwing the football to the wrong jersey.
If you draw a late pick in your draft order, the best QB available, after you select your running backs will probably be Marc Bulger.
If you do pick Bulger, get yourself some insurance with a decent backup. However, if Marc Bulger plays like we project him too, you are only going to need the backup for the bye week.
