Lizzie Grubman's Image Continues to Fizzle

Although the details surrounding the horrific accident in the parking lot of a Long Island club earlier this summer are still emerging, some new details about Lizzie Grubman are now coming to the forefront. Apparently, her image as one of the power players in the Hollywood and New York PR circles was already tainted by some episodes that reflect her personality in a poor light. Grubman, 30, is said to have let a dry cleaning account lapse into a state of delinquency that forced the merchant to take legal action against the wealthy socialite to collect over one thousand dollars in cleaning charges.

"She's a spoiled little brat," said the owner of the dry cleaning company, who was interviewed by the New York Daily News. Even though the company was awarded the balance of $1,156, there is still $750 that remains unpaid. The $750 "is like 75 cents to her. It's pathetic. I'm glad the nation finally knows what type of human being she is. They have this mentality like they don't have to pay." As if documented legal hassles over bad debts wasn't enough, apparently Grubman has been throwing her proverbial weight around at trendy restaurants to get her way.

Once a trendy hot spot, the now-closed Moomba's was the stage of a Grubman fiasco that has recently surfaced. A family had reserved a table months in advance for the 16th birthday party of their daughter. The daughter and her friends had hoped to catch a glimpse of Leonardo DiCaprio, or perhaps one of the Backstreet Boys, who were known to frequent the club at that time. Although the party had not finished and the cake had not yet been served, Lizzie demanded the table when she arrived with an entourage of models and other celebrities. The family was forced to pay the check and leave so that Grubman's party could be seated immediately. Needless to say, the family was outraged, but witnesses to the event said that Grubman appeared unfazed by her blatant disregard for the wishes of the family.
